Bitwise Asset Management raised its Bitcoin price forecast from $1.3 million to $1.6 million by 2036 in its 2027 capital-market assumptions. The figure is the firm’s projection, not a traded price or an established future outcome. Its model assumes 34.3% annualized growth over the coming decade.
Bitwise says a hypothetical 1% to 5% allocation from institutional portfolios it estimates at $147 trillion could bring $1.5 trillion to $7 trillion in demand over time. That money has not been committed to Bitcoin, and limited new issuance alone cannot determine its price. Bitwise also suggests Bitcoin’s four-year swings may moderate as institutional ownership grows, but it still expects volatility.
