Franklin Moves Bitcoin Dividend-Reinvesting ETFs Toward Nasdaq

Franklin Templeton registered shares of two proposed stock-and-Bitcoin ETFs for Nasdaq on October 22, 2026. The filing does not mean either fund has begun trading. A separate prospectus filing proposes an October 27 effective date.

The funds’ indexes start at 95% equities and 5% Bitcoin, and direct equity dividends into Bitcoin exposure. Quarterly reviews cut a Bitcoin weight above 5% to 4.5%; a weight above 20% between reviews also triggers a reset, but the rule does not prevent a temporary breach. The funds may use Bitcoin-linked products and derivatives, so shareholders would own ETF shares, not coins in a personal wallet.
