American Bitcoin reported about $126 million in net income for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, reversing a $57.2 million loss in the previous quarter. The Trump-family-backed miner’s profit relied heavily on a $197 million gain on its digital assets as Bitcoin’s book value rose, rather than on stronger mining operations.
The company mined about 891 BTC, down from 932, while its cost to mine rose from roughly $36,500 to $42,100 per Bitcoin. It attributed the higher cost to seasonal power costs. Its Bitcoin reserve rose to about 8,427 BTC; the company said it bought no Bitcoin or issued new shares through its at-the-market program during the quarter.
