Meta and Palantir Reject OKXICE Stock Tokenization Listings

OKXICE said in a filing that Meta, Palantir, S&P Global, KLA and Supermicro had objected to having their shares tokenized and listed on its proposed platform. The objections brought the reported total to 67. The source says only crypto-linked companies remained on OKXICE’s original list of targeted stocks, limiting the platform’s proposed operation.

OKXICE’s plan would allow round-the-clock trading of U.S. stocks using stablecoins and blockchain. MEXC CEO Vugar Usi Zade said companies may worry about being blamed if a synthetic token’s price strays from the underlying share price. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and Securitize’s Carlos Domingo argued that tokenization could widen access to stocks and increase liquidity.
