Coinbase has launched the Coinbase Wallet web app, a consolidated on-chain tool for 360 portfolio management. This new feature, part of its “super app” roadmap, aims to simplify cryptocurrency use by enabling tracking, token swaps, and fund transfers across multiple decentralized networks.
This unified app tackles significant adoption issues by integrating eight networks, including Base and Solana (SOL), into a single platform accessible on desktops and mobile phones. Sid Coelho-Prabhu, senior director of product management at Coinbase Wallet, highlights innovations like passkey replacements for 12-word recovery phrases and gasless development on Base.
Eliminating the need for multiple wallet apps and simplifying navigation are expected to attract both developers and users to Web3. As blockchain technology gains traction, such solutions are crucial for fostering broader adoption and advancing the industry’s growth trajectory.
