Ethereum developers postponed the Glamsterdam upgrade on the Hoodi testnet, canceling its planned October 26, 2026, activation while they study how EIP-8037 interacts with mainnet smart contracts. They have not set a new Hoodi activation date. The decision does not change the Ethereum mainnet upgrade timeline or determine its date.
The canceled Hoodi plans also included raising its gas limit to 200 million. Hoodi node operators and validators were advised to check their software and configurations for the old activation date and follow updated client guidance.
