Chainlink Launches CustodySync for DeFi Loans

Chainlink announced CustodySync on October 26, naming Anchorage Digital as its initial partner. Chainlink says the service aims to let eligible institutions borrow against assets while keeping their existing custody arrangements. Its described workflow covers collateral deposit, borrowing, repayment and liquidation; the excerpt does not report live loans.

Keeping assets in custody does not automatically remove smart-contract, oracle, liquidation or legal-enforcement risk. Collateral eligibility, participating lending markets and safeguards still need to be established, and the size of assets in digital custody is an opportunity estimate, not capital committed to CustodySync.
