Nocturne Privacy Protocol Shuts Down: Vitalik Buterin-Backed

Nocturne, a privacy-focused protocol for Ethereum backed by Vitalik Buterin, has shut down just four months after discontinuing its protocol. The company, which raised $6 million in funding, announced on June 5 that its website will remain open for withdrawals until the end of the month. In February, Nocturne halted its v1 protocol to focus on a new product, citing the immature state of the layer-2 ecosystem.
