Coinbase acknowledged a security incident at its analytics vendor Amplitude that affected a small subset of Coinbase customer contact data. The company said it found no evidence of unauthorized access to Coinbase systems and that customer funds were not affected.
Coinbase has not disclosed how many customers were affected, which contact details were exposed or how the vendor incident occurred. Claims that more than 70,000 users were affected remain unverified. Coinbase said it is notifying affected customers and regulators as required.
