Moscow Exchange said it plans to launch cryptocurrency trading on December 1, starting with pilot transactions in bitcoin, ether and USDT. Financial institutions and other participants will gain access as they complete preparations; the exchange did not describe the launch as full access for all investors.
Trading is planned through the exchange’s existing infrastructure, with clearing by the National Clearing Center. Non-qualified investors must pass a knowledge assessment before buying crypto and will be limited to 300,000 rubles (about $3,700) in purchases per broker each year.
