• Binance has applied for a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license in Greece.
• The application is through Binary Greece, a holding corporation registered in Athens last year.
• If granted, the MiCA license allows Binance to operate across all 27 EU member states from a single regulatory hub.
• The Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC) is reviewing the application with assistance from five audit firms, including Ernst & Young and KPMG.
• The EU’s MiCA framework requires digital asset firms to obtain authorization by July 1, 2026; only 4% of French crypto platforms have done so thus far.
