Grayscale Launches ETH Staking in ETFs, Attracts Institutional Interest
- On October 6, Grayscale introduced an ETH staking facility for its spot Ethereum ETFs, Ethereum Trust (ETHE) and Ethereum Mini Trust (ETH).
- Grayscale staked a total of 32,000 Ether (ETH), valued at approximately $150.56 million.
- The Grayscale Ethereum Trust will distribute staking rewards as cash payouts, while the Mini Trust will reinvest returns into its net asset value.
- BlackRock’s spot Ethereum ETF (ETHA) saw inflows of nearly 18,959 ETH and a total trading volume of $2 billion.
- The share price of ETHA surged by over 4% to reach $35.79, marking a nearly 200% increase since April.
Grayscale’s introduction of staking capabilities is expected to enhance fund returns and attract more institutional capital to its offerings. Meanwhile, BlackRock’s strong inflows into its Ethereum ETF indicate sustained interest in Ethereum investments.
Currently trading at $4,707 after a recent uptick of about four percent, the price reflects growing confidence in the market following these developments.(Source)
