The Justin Sun Prize and MathDB announced a pilot for submissions and reviews covering 50 mathematics problems across four award levels. Problem-level prize pools may reach $1 million, depending on the problem, but awards are subject to eligibility checks, anti-money-laundering and sanctions compliance, and official rules. The full problem list and award terms have not yet been made available.
MathDB will accept solutions, verify Lean formalizations and review explanations. The prize will separately assess eligibility, attribution, priority and award terms. Rewards are allocated 50% to a mathematical solution, 30% to Lean formalization and 20% to qualifying explanation. Professor Tony Yue Yu and his team will lead the pilot’s scientific work.
