Luxor Raises $16 Million for AI Expansion

Seattle-based Luxor announced it raised $16 million in a round led by CMT Digital to expand its AI computing, hardware trading and financial derivatives businesses. The financing includes primary and secondary capital, but Luxor did not disclose the breakdown or its valuation. It said it plans to expand its AI cloud platform, fund hardware trading, develop computing derivatives and hire staff.

Unlike bitcoin miners converting facilities into AI data centers, Luxor is focusing on supplying hardware, software and financial services. According to Luxor, its AI cloud platform had processed 1.8 million workloads year-to-date as of September; the source does not specify the year.
