The magnetic shield concept aims to offer a power-free solution for space radiation protection by using a dense array of neodymium magnets to repel a portion of solar protons encountered beyond Earth’s magnetic field.

While the proposed system offers practical advantages like no power requirement, it primarily acts as a filter rather than a full shield against high-energy particles. Further simulations and lab tests are planned to evaluate its effectiveness and potential risks from secondary emissions. Source
