Tether’s Open Automation Toolkit Gains Mining Industry Support

Tether announced on October 24 that 15 mining companies, hardware makers and pools had committed to building and maintaining integrations with its Mining Development Kit (MDK). The open software framework is intended to let operators manage different mining equipment through a common interface. The commitments are not purchase orders or evidence that participants have converted their mining sites.

Public documentation includes a demonstration using mock hardware, but testing simulated devices is different from controlling a live site. A stable 1.0 release remains a target for the end of 2026, and the source reports no universal figure for electricity savings or higher mining margins.
