Argentine President Javier Milei called for compensation from those who accused him of wrongdoing after charges against him and other defendants in the Libra token case were dismissed. He accused major media outlets and journalists of using the case to smear and extort his government; those are his allegations.
Milei had shared the token’s contract on social media, then deleted the post after its price fell and said he had no links to the project. Lawmaker Maximiliano Ferraro criticized the closed probe, alleging that officials hid evidence and failed to explain meetings between token promoters and government officials, related crypto transactions and calls on the day of the launch.
