The NBA named Kalshi and Polymarket preferred prediction-market exchanges on Oct. 26, 2026. The agreements give them access to official league data, trademarks and broadcast advertising opportunities, but the NBA retains approval rights over the types of contracts they can offer. Restrictions on certain single-play contracts, low-minute player markets and long-shot parlays will also apply, and players and other covered personnel cannot trade NBA event contracts.
Kalshi said it will use official NBA data distributed by Sportradar to operate and settle authorized markets. It and the NBA will share information on suspicious trading and cooperate on investigations. The NBA also announced a regulatory-cooperation agreement with the CFTC, while state challenges to sports event contracts remain unresolved.
