Amazon, Tesla, Netflix, SpaceX, SoFi Technologies and Lam Research objected to OKXICE’s proposed tokenized U.S. stocks platform, according to a Nov. 2 public notice. That brought the total to 56 companies: 49 of the 62 companies in the original proposed lineup and seven that were not included. The plan would allow trading in blockchain-based representations of U.S. stocks around the clock.
The notices do not give the companies’ individual reasons for objecting. An objection to this platform does not necessarily mean opposition to blockchain-based securities more broadly.
