Dutch crypto exchange Bitvavo has partnered with Nasdaq to monitor markets for illegal activity. The EU-regulated exchange will use Nasdaq Market Surveillance to detect and investigate suspected market abuse.
Bitvavo plans to gain trading insights, visualizations, and a consolidated audit trail across multiple assets. The tool will also help create reports for regulators.
This partnership aims to enhance investor protection and market confidence, aligning with the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA).
Founded in 2018, Bitvavo is approved by the Dutch central bank. The exchange aims to recover €280 million trapped at Digital Currency Group following a settlement.
