CryptoQuant founder Ki Young Ju called Bitcoin’s rising hashrate an “indirect bullish signal” from institutions backing public miners. CryptoQuant data put hashrate at roughly 1,050 exahashes per second on Wednesday, up about 45% from July’s low of about 726 EH/s. It remained below its October 2025 peak of 1,305 EH/s. Ju’s view is an interpretation of the increase, not direct evidence of institutional buying.
NIP Group announced on October 20, 2026, an agreement to acquire about 4.47 EH/s of deployed mining hardware. The deal had not yet closed; the company expected the machines to boost production once it did, with hashrate across three tranches projected to reach 13.85 EH/s.
