Fireblocks disputed a report that Visa was in advanced talks to acquire it for about $2.5 billion. A Fireblocks spokesperson called the possible acquisition “news to us” and said the report was “not true at present time.” Axios reported the talks, citing multiple sources; Visa said it does not comment on rumors or speculation.
The reported price is well below Fireblocks’ last publicly disclosed valuation of more than $8 billion, announced after a funding round in January 2022.
