Phase announced the launch of its blockchain and Phase Proxy, a service that routes AI agents’ web requests through internet connections shared by smartphones. Unlimit founder Kirill Eves committed $45 million to Phase; the company told Cointelegraph it has no outside investors. Phase said the commitment covers its first two years of development and provides another two years of runway.
Smartphone users can earn PHASE tokens by validating blocks and sharing their connections, with participation adjusted for battery level and connectivity. Phase plans to launch an AI computing service in November, when users would be able to contribute computing power; a separate service expected that month would route requests across AI models.
