Biden SC Reform Challenges Trump Immunity Ruling

On July 29, President Joe Biden proposed a three-pronged reform plan for the Supreme Court. This includes term limits for justices, a binding ethics code, and the “No One Is Above the Law Amendment,” challenging former President Trump’s immunity ruling.

The amendment responds to a July Supreme Court decision favoring Trump. Biden criticized the Court’s recent decisions, stating they undermine long-established legal principles.

Despite the challenges of achieving Congressional approval, Biden’s reforms aim to restore public trust and safeguard democracy. He will elaborate on these proposals at the LBJ Presidential Library in Texas.
