South Korean tech giant SK Hynix is set to invest $74.6 billion in AI chip development by 2028. The focus areas include data centers, AI voice assistants, and high-bandwidth memory (HBM).

This substantial investment aims to secure $57.5 billion in funding over the next two years. SK Hynix is the exclusive supplier of HBM3 chips for Nvidia, doubling its earnings in early 2024.

By restructuring 175 subsidiaries, SK Hynix plans to enhance profitability and shareholder returns. This strategic realignment will streamline operations and focus resources on the most profitable ventures.
