Crypto wallet users on iOS 18 devices have lost $5.57 million through attackers’ reported exploitation of the DarkSword vulnerability, according to a Legalblock representative. The representative said opening an infected adult website in Safari can run malicious code that puts passwords, messages, photos and crypto wallet files, including private keys, at risk. The attack does not require users to connect a wallet or confirm a transaction, the representative said.
An X user said more than 20 crypto wallets are at risk but did not identify them. The Legalblock representative and Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao urged users to update their operating systems.
