The ZetaChain team plans to move ZETA to Solana and permanently stop transactions on its Layer 1 blockchain on Dec. 9, 2026, if the community approves a proposal in a vote closing Nov. 7. If voters reject it, the team will prepare a revised migration plan. A September vote supported ending the blockchain, but the new vote will decide the migration mechanism and timetable.
The team plans to exchange existing ZETA for Solana tokens at a 1:1 ratio using a snapshot of balances that includes locked tokens and unclaimed rewards. Holders would not need to unstake; they could claim through a portal due to open Dec. 9, while holdings on centralized exchanges would be converted automatically. The team also plans to launch ZetaLabs, an AI platform for financial-market analysis, with advanced tools scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
