Ambire Ice Shows Safe Owner Changes, Thresholds

Ambire says its Ice hardware wallet will decode Safe transactions and warn signers about changes to account control. In an October 30 product announcement, the company said the device can display transfers, token approvals and transaction batches, and flag changes to owners, signature thresholds and modules.

These are manufacturer claims, not independent proof that the device correctly interprets every transaction or has passed a particular security evaluation. Safe’s documentation says a signature threshold sets the minimum owner approvals needed to execute a transaction, while modules can execute arbitrary transactions. Independent testing would need to check how Ice handles unfamiliar calls, nested batches and actions it cannot confidently describe.
