Base has scheduled its Denim mainnet upgrade for November 5 at 18:00 UTC; the source does not give a year. The network’s status notice says mainnet is expected to remain operational during maintenance and tells node operators to install the required release before activation.
Denim is set to replace Flashblocks with five complete, canonical blocks per second, up from one every two seconds. Applications using Flashblocks must move to canonical block and RPC streams, and systems that rely on whole-second timestamps may need to account for multiple blocks sharing the same timestamp. Faster blocks may make execution visible sooner, but they do not by themselves change how bridges, exchanges or other services decide when a transaction is settled.
