Gate has introduced Proof of Security (PoSEC), a framework for checking how it stores assets and how much of its users’ assets its cold storage could cover. Gate says a snapshot taken at 00:00 UTC on November 4, 2026, showed a cold storage coverage ratio of 104.58%. Under its calculation method, a ratio of at least 100% means cold storage alone would cover all user assets if all hot-wallet assets were lost.
Gate said cold storage and hot wallets held 88.26% and 11.74% of total assets, respectively. An independent third-party firm is still verifying the assets, valuation methods and coverage calculations; Gate says it will publish the audit report when the review is complete.
