Input Output reported that a replay of 24,576 Midnight claim transactions ran about 1.9 times faster on a newer Hydra version. Throughput rose from 42 to 79 claims per second, while total completion time fell from 590.4 to 339.1 seconds.
The test used the same host and workload for both software versions, but it did not reproduce all production conditions, such as dispersed participants or unreliable connections. It measured a specific claim pipeline inside a Hydra head, not transaction speed across Cardano’s mainnet.
