US Adds 165,000 Jobs in October

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on November 6, 2026, that the economy added 165,000 payroll jobs in October and the unemployment rate was little changed at 4.1%. It also revised August and September job gains upward by a combined 84,000. Average hourly earnings rose 0.4% in October and 3.1% over 12 months.

The report may complicate hopes for quick interest-rate cuts, but it cannot establish what the Federal Reserve will do next or where Bitcoin will trade. The source notes that recent cryptocurrency weakness has coincided with other market moves, but that does not establish a single cause.
