Twenty-two companies had objected to having their shares tokenized on the planned OKX-ICE venue by October 23, up from nine on October 15, according to the newsletter. That is 22 of the 63 companies the venue planned to list. An October 19 rule change let issuers tokenize their own shares, but the newsletter says none of the objectors had used that option.
The dispute comes ahead of Robinhood’s third-quarter earnings report. The newsletter says Robinhood Chain handled $13.7 billion in tokenized-equity trading during its debut quarter. It is uncertain whether CEO Vlad Tenev will address the objections on the earnings call.
