Binance revoked Signalplus API keys on Nov. 5 after being notified of a possible security issue with the external trading service. Binance said its own systems were unaffected and customer funds were safe, but the nature of the suspected problem and whether anyone accessed customer credentials had not been established. It said there was no established link to its Oct. 29 hack, in which about $6.34 billion in cryptocurrency was stolen.
Binance told affected customers to check their positions and open orders in their accounts and to wait for Signalplus to confirm a resolution before making new API connections. Binance founder Changpeng Zhao urged Signalplus users to revoke API keys connected to other exchanges.
