Binance said it removed all API keys linked to SignalPlus after the third-party trading platform reported a potential security issue. Binance said its own systems were unaffected and user funds were safe. The removal cuts off trading through SignalPlus on Binance, so automated strategies using that connection will stop until users set up new keys.
Binance urged SignalPlus users to check their positions and open orders directly and to wait for SignalPlus to confirm the issue is resolved before reconnecting. The move followed a separate hack in which about $6.4 billion was stolen from Binance’s hot wallets on October 29; the FBI attributed that theft to North Korean hackers, which Pyongyang denied.
