Cysic’s 10% bounty; hacker uses Tornado Cash

A wallet linked to the Cysic bridge exploit sent about $744,000 in cryptocurrency to Tornado Cash after the Cysic Foundation offered the attacker a 10% recovery bounty. Blockchain security firm PeckShield reported transfers of 300 Ether and 30.4 BNB. The offer was for the return of 275.872 ETH, worth about $665,000 and roughly 90% of the identified Ether proceeds; the source does not report a recovery.

The attacker had exploited a bridge vulnerability to mint 10 million CYS tokens on BNB Smart Chain. Cysic suspended the bridge and blacklisted the recipient address, freezing about 2.8 million of those tokens. The foundation said its mainnet and existing assets in user wallets were unaffected.
