Blockchain investigator ZachXBT accused Floyd Mayweather of being linked to another token scam. Mayweather has a history of involvement in such scams, marked by lawsuits and settlements.
ZachXBT called out Mayweather on X, highlighting his promotion of a new token, FLOYD, which he later deleted after many had invested. This activity raised concerns of another potential scam.
Mayweather has previously made “tens of millions” from ventures like Mayweverse, Ethereum Max, and Bored Bunny. In 2022, the SEC charged him for failing to disclose payments for promoting ICOs, including a $100,000 payment from Centra Tech.
In 2018, he paid over $600,000 in fines for unlawfully touting coin offerings. Investors have lost significant funds due to projects like Centra Tech ICO and EthereumMax, identified as rug pulls.
Mayweather’s repeated involvement in these scams highlights the need for greater scrutiny in cryptocurrency promotions.
