Tether announced the Swiss not-for-profit Financial Access and Systemic Empowerment (FASE) Foundation on October 28. Named founding stakeholders include Anchorage Digital, Bybit, Chainalysis, Payward, Opera and the Solana Foundation; the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime is a strategic adviser.
FASE said an education initiative could reach up to 10 million young people and an aid pilot could potentially serve up to 1 million people. Those figures are targets, not verified beneficiaries, and the announcement does not establish that the pilot has been completed or its impact measured. Delivering stablecoin aid would also require safe wallets, local merchant acceptance, cash-out access, identity protections and oversight.
