Users will need to comply with new Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements, including providing names, dates of birth, and phone numbers. This transition also involves the transfer of personal data as per the updated Privacy Policy. Users uncomfortable with these changes can withdraw their funds and delete their Wallet accounts.
Telegram’s integration of blockchain technology has significantly boosted its ecosystem, with over $319 million in deposits in The Open Network and a rise in wallet numbers. The platform’s recent success with Hamster Kombat and Notcoin illustrates its potential as a future onboarding tool for digital assets.
