A Base case study dated October 22 said Aave V4’s Equities Hub launched in September, letting eligible non-U.S. investors borrow USDC against selected Coinbase tokenized U.S. equities without selling the shares first. It listed seven stocks accepted as collateral at the time and said borrowers could borrow and repay continuously.
Collateral values rely on price feeds with different coverage during weekday and off-hours trading. Continuous lending does not mean the underlying stock market is always open or token redemptions are always immediate. The case study did not establish how much borrowing had occurred or whether the service would have a lasting market impact.
