Uniswap Labs introduced TJAR on October 29, 2026, as a fee-conversion system for projects that collect multiple tokens. Applications can deposit fees into a Token Jar and choose the token they want to receive; searchers then compete to supply that token in exchange for the jar’s assets.
Uniswap said its original protocol-fee system processed more than $15.3 million in conversions in the preceding month, not that TJAR had processed that amount. It said Robinhood already uses TJAR to receive fee revenue in USDC and USDG on supported chains. Searcher competition does not remove execution costs or market exposure: poorly set thresholds can produce an unattractive conversion price, and searcher participation depends on token liquidity. The announcement does not establish that TJAR is the cheapest route for every mix of assets.
