Chainlink introduced a 24/7 data service on October 29 to supply reference prices for equities, commodities and other real-world assets outside exchange hours. It named lending protocol Aave as the launch partner for using the feeds to value eligible collateral. The service extends an earlier 24/5 equity-data product into weekends and holidays.
Chainlink said the off-hours references draw on several perpetual-futures venues, with filters for stale data and outliers. An oracle feed does not guarantee a redeemable cash-market price, and an off-hours derivative reference can differ from the next opening auction. The announcement does not establish how the feeds will perform during thin trading or how Aave will handle liquidations outside exchange hours.
