Ethereum Validator Queue Surges Nearly Double Exit

Ethereum Staking Queue Surpasses Exit Queue for First Time in Six Months

  • The entry queue for Ethereum validators has reached approximately 745,619 Ether (ETH), with a wait time of nearly 13 days.
  • In contrast, the exit queue contains around 360,518 ETH and has an eight-day wait.
  • The queues flipped on Saturday when both were around the same size at approximately 460,000 ETH.
  • BitMine staked about 342,560 ETH worth roughly $1 billion in just two days, contributing to the increased staking activity.
  • Abdul from Monad noted that last June’s similar flip led to a doubling of Ether’s price shortly after.

This shift in Ethereum’s staking dynamics indicates growing confidence among validators as more ETH is being staked compared to those exiting the network. The validator exit queue could potentially reach zero by January, reducing sell pressure on ETH.

Currently trading at $3,018, Ethereum’s staking environment reflects a significant increase in long-term holding sentiment as evidenced by nearly double the amount of ETH staked compared to exited.(Source)
