Standard Chartered Now Expects SEC to Approve Spot Ethereum ETFs This Week

Standard Chartered Bank has changed its prediction, now expecting the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to approve spot ethereum ETFs this week. The bank’s head of digital asset research is highly confident, with an 80% to 90% certainty in the approval. This move could mark a significant milestone as it represents a potential first for ethereum-based financial products, setting a precedent in the digital asset space.

The standout feature of this potential approval is the anticipated inflow of $15 billion to $45 billion into ether within the first year. Such an influx would not only underscore the growing acceptance of digital assets but also highlight the substantial economic impact these ETFs could have.

The approval of spot ethereum ETFs could pave the way for broader acceptance and integration of digital assets into traditional financial portfolios, indicating strategic growth in the digital asset sector.
