Anchorage Digital expanded its custody-and-listing arrangement with Bitso for the U.S.-Mexico remittance corridor. Anchorage Digital Bank now custodies Bitso’s peso stablecoin MXNB across six blockchains, while Bitso has listed USDPT and USAT, dollar stablecoins that Anchorage issues and custodies. The companies did not disclose financial terms.
The corridor moves tens of billions of dollars a year, and the report says about 15% already runs through Bitso’s infrastructure. Anchorage is betting that stablecoins will increasingly replace traditional transfer networks; the expanded arrangement does not establish that they have done so.
