Cardano Chainlink Stellar Futures Launch

CME Group Expands Crypto Derivatives with Cardano, Chainlink, and Stellar Futures

  • CME Group plans to launch futures contracts for Cardano (ADA), Chainlink (LINK), and Stellar (XLM) on February 9, 2026, pending regulatory review.
  • The new offerings will include both micro-sized and larger-sized contracts for each cryptocurrency.
  • Standard Cardano futures will cover contracts of 100,000 ADA, while micro-sized contracts will consist of 10,000 tokens.
  • Chainlink’s large-sized futures are set at contracts of 5,000 LINK with small-sized covering just 250 LINK.
  • Stellar’s large-sized futures will cover contracts of up to a quarter million XLM tokens, while smaller ones include just over twelve thousand XLM.

This expansion builds on CME’s existing crypto suite that includes Bitcoin and Ethereum derivatives among others. The introduction aims to provide market participants with more options for managing price risk and gaining exposure to the dynamic crypto market.

Despite the announcement, prices for ADA, LINK, and XLM remained mostly unchanged as they continued their intraday corrections. (Source)
