Bitcoin Clings to $81K Amid Selling Pressure

Bitcoin traded near $81,392 on Oct. 20, 2026, close to the bottom of its $81,155–$82,667 intraday range. The technical analysis identified support near $81,100, but said a sustained break below that level could expose $80,500 and then the $79,694–$79,800 area. A recovery above $82,000, backed by stronger trading volume, would improve the short-term outlook.

Bitfire Research cited about $228 million in weekly net outflows from U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs and said a negative Coinbase premium suggested weak domestic demand. It identified resistance at $82,500 and near $83,300, and warned that bitcoin may retest lower support unless it reclaims the higher level quickly.
