The Common Sense Leadership Fund placed an ad in The Wall Street Journal’s October 24–25, 2026, weekend edition urging public-company executives to reject third-party tokenization of their shares. The ad alleged investor, market and legal risks. It also urged companies to opt out within 30 days, a period that starts when an issuer receives written notice of a third party’s plan to tokenize its shares—not when the ad appeared.
Thirty-three companies have objected to having their shares offered on OKXICE, including 30 of the 62 issuers the platform initially planned to include. Securitize ran a separate ad on October 28, 2026, promoting a tokenization model that it said complies with U.S. law.
