Flare has integrated with LayerZero V2, connecting its Layer 1 blockchain to 75 other blockchain networks, including Ethereum and Solana. Announced on Wednesday, this integration also links Flare to multiple Ethereum Layer 2 networks, expanding its reach to over 50,000 decentralized applications (dApps).
Flare co-founder Hugo Philion emphasized the integration’s value for users and developers, noting that it will accelerate Flare’s expansion and enable innovative interoperable products. The integration brings secure connectivity, access to new users, and liquidity, while enhancing Flare’s decentralization.
LayerZero’s technology, which includes Decentralized Verifier Networks (DVNs), has already facilitated over 134 million cross-chain messages and secured more than $50 billion in crypto. This positions Flare to serve as a highly secure DVN and explore cross-chain money markets and chain-agnostic NFTs.
The strategic importance of this integration lies in its potential to significantly bolster Flare’s ecosystem and drive DeFi growth.
