S&P Dow Jones Indices announced a partnership with Kalshi that will allow the platform to offer event contracts tied to S&P DJI benchmarks. Kalshi will become a preferred platform for the contracts, which would settle using official index values. S&P DJI will also explore indexes based on Kalshi prediction-market data, but the companies gave no timeline for either initiative.
Separately, S&P DJI’s parent, S&P Global, announced that it had completed its acquisition of blockchain security firm OpenZeppelin. The financial terms were not disclosed.
